The Visual Arts Program is a fine arts studio/art history program with benefits that extend beyond the walls of our art room. We encourage the development of creative problem-solvers by giving students hands-on experiences with a variety of materials for their own art portfolio. The Visual Arts Program is steeped in Art History which develops a personal appreciation for the many works to which they are exposed.
Students work in oil pastels, chalk pastels, paint, printmaking, sculpture, and ceramics. Students take inspiration from many sources including imagination, materials, nature, artists, and feelings. As our students develop observational and analytical skills, they are encouraged to reflect on their creations and share their work.
All student work is displayed which helps students to grow in confidence, find value in what they create, and build relationships with a community of artists.
