An Invitation For Growth

The Graduate at Graduation is a series of precepts or “invitations for growth” which drive the unique programing at Saint Patrick Catholic School and offers every student a blueprint to become a joyful, intelligent, and productive servant leader. Our mission of educating the whole child - mind, body, and spirit - is lived each day by our faculty and staff as we guide students in their development in six areas: the Life of Mind, the Life of Character and Courage, the Life of Relationship, the Life of Spirit, the Life of Vocation, and the Life of Health and Wellness.

The journey begins the moment a student becomes a Wolfhound, with the goals set forth in each of the "Life Ofs" of the Graduate at Graduation guiding students to be self-reflective and internally motivated. This foundational, yet dynamic document has been instrumental in the intentional growth of students since the school’s inception. Each decision made by the faculty, staff, and school leadership is highly intentional, mission-driven, and in the best interest of the children in our care. The Graduate and Graduation allows us to speak with one voice and remain focused on what is most important to our students and families.

As we enter our twentieth year, the School is both looking back at our founding tenets and looking forward to the bright future ahead. We saw this moment as the perfect opportunity to expand upon what the Graduate at Graduation can offer our students and more intentionally align each Life Of with our mission statement. After careful consideration and meaningful discussion, school leadership expanded the breadth of The Physical Life by transforming into the Life of Health and Wellness and added the Life of Character and Courage as the sixth pillar of growth.

The Physical Life has always focused on the importance of an active lifestyle, good sportsmanship, and healthy eating habits, but the Life of Health and Wellness takes a more holistic approach. By incorporating emotional and psychological well-being into this area of growth, Saint Patrick Catholic School is showing children that achieving and maintaining good mental health is also vital to living a well-rounded, productive, and happy life. This increase in scope will serve Wolfhounds on and off the field and allow them to thrive in high school, college, and beyond.

The Life of Character and Courage is a blueprint for students at Saint Patrick to develop the character strengths essential to leading lives of consequence as ethical, compassionate, and courageous servant leaders. Students with a growth mindset will have the tools they need to be resilient and persevere in the face of adversity, have the self-confidence to confront their fears and self-doubts, and the self-control and persistence to develop good, productive habits. The precepts in the Life of Character and Courage bring existing “invitations for growth” into sharper focus and will help our students succeed in all aspects of their life.

The Graduate at Graduation is the ultimate benchmark of a Saint Patrick Catholic School education and remains the foundation of our highly intentional and total-formative program. The success of our graduates is a testament to the importance and value of total formation. As we enter the next decade, we remain dedicated to Saint Patrick’s mission of educating and nurturing the whole child - mind, body, and spirit - to be Christ-centered, compassionate, and courageous servant leaders.
