On Friday, August 23, the Saint Patrick Catholic School faculty and staff welcomed all Wolfhound students back to campus to kick off a brand-new school year! There was a genuine feeling of hope and optimism in the air as new and returning students walked through the doors after a fun-filled and restful summer break.
Teachers and staff were on hand to guide students to their classrooms as Head of School Lauren Mazzari and our founding board chair Chuck McPhillips stood at the front entrance to warmly greet both children and parents entering the School. As Saint Patrick Catholic School enters its twentieth year, Mr. McPhillips was excited to share that the first day is one of his favorite times of the year and he has not missed one since the school was founded. Whether it was a little PreK student letting go of their parent’s hand for their first day on campus or a member of the Class of 2025 bounding up to “their” Eighth Grade lounge for the first time, everyone at Saint Patrick was excited to be back!
The morning drop off wrapped up with parents enjoying the ever-popular “Boo-Hoo, Woo-Hoo” celebration by reconnecting with friends and welcoming new families into the Wolfhound community. There were many more cheers than tears as parents shared stories of summer adventures and welcomed the start of the new school year.
While it was only a few hours long, the half-day on Friday was a perfect opportunity for students, faculty, staff, and families to settle in. We are grateful to have our students back in class and can’t wait to see what blessings the new school year has in store for all of us! Go Wolfhounds!
