Once a Wolfhound, Always a Wolfhound!

When the Class of 2025 graduates in June and moves on to high school, we know we will not be saying “goodbye,” but rather “so long for now.” Our Wolfhound alumni visit often and remain connected through the meaningful, long-lasting relationships they have formed with teachers, staff, and fellow classmates.

Whether it is lunch with a prayer buddy, visiting with a favorite teacher, speaking at a Middle School assembly or special event, or sitting on a current Eighth Grade student’s panel presentation, our graduates love coming back to Saint Patrick. Our alumni are as much a part of this Wolfhound community as the students walking the halls today and alumni are always welcomed with excitement and open arms!

It is truly a joy to see and hear of our graduates’ many accomplishments, but this past month, we were able to assist two of our alumni in a special way. On Wednesday November 6, Miranda Jackson, Class of 2015, shadowed our Lead Counselor & Lower School Counselor Shana O'Boyle as part of her work to complete her Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. The connection was first made after an alumni event during which Miranda told us she was working towards a degree in counseling at Old Dominion University. Mrs. O’Boyle, a founding faculty member, was more than happy to have one of her former students join her for the day. Then, on Friday, November 22, Virginia Chandler, Class of 2016, shadowed our First Grade team. Virginia is currently earning a Master's Degree in Education at Columbia University and we couldn't be more excited to have her gain classroom experience at Saint Patrick.

These are just two examples of how our faculty and staff continue to serve as mentors and advocates for students even after graduation. We want our Wolfhound Alumni to see their former school as an academic, personal, and professional resource. Saint Patrick Catholic School is a family, and we will always be some of their biggest fans! Once a Wolfhound, Always a Wolfhound!

If you’re a graduate of Saint Patrick, we want to hear from you! Please contact Dan Pellegrino at dpellegrino@mystpcs.org to tell us what you’re up to and to get involved!
